Author Guidelines

 
Authors are required to carefully read and follow these guidelines before submitting a manuscript to TheraNur: Physiotherapy and Nursing Journal. Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned to the authors for revision prior to the peer-review process.

General Requirements

  • The manuscript must be an original scholarly work.
  • The manuscript must not have been published previously or be under consideration by another journal.
  • The manuscript must be relevant to the journal’s focus and scope in physiotherapy and/or nursing.
  • The manuscript may be written in either Bahasa Indonesia or English using clear, grammatically correct academic language.
  • The manuscript must be prepared using the official journal template.
  • All sources cited in the manuscript must be properly referenced using APA 7th Edition. Authors are encouraged to use Mendeley or other reference management software.
  • The manuscript must be free from plagiarism and may be screened using plagiarism detection software.
  • Research involving human participants, patients, clinical data, or health-related information must comply with applicable research ethics, including informed consent and ethical approval when required.
  • Community service articles are not accepted for publication.

Manuscript Format

Manuscripts should comply with the following formatting requirements:

  • Paper Size: A4
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 12 pt
  • Line Spacing: 1.15 or 1.5
  • Margins: 3 cm on all sides
  • Manuscript Length: Approximately 10–15 pages or in accordance with the journal template
  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)

Case study articles should generally include:

Title

The title should be concise, clear, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript. Authors should avoid unnecessary abbreviations and ensure that the title represents the main focus of the study.

Abstract

The abstract must be provided in both Bahasa Indonesia and English and should briefly describe the background, objectives, methods, principal findings, and conclusions of the study. The recommended length is 150–250 words.

Keywords

Provide 3–5 keywords or key phrases that accurately represent the content of the manuscript. Keywords should be separated by semicolons.

Introduction

The introduction should present the background of the study, identify the research gap, explain the significance of the research, describe the novelty or contribution of the study, and clearly state the research objectives.

Methods

The methods section should describe the research design, study setting, participants or population and sample, sampling techniques, research instruments, data collection procedures, data analysis methods, and ethical considerations where applicable.

Results

Results should be presented clearly, logically, and systematically using narrative descriptions, tables, and/or figures where appropriate. All tables and figures must be numbered consecutively and accompanied by informative titles and captions.

Discussion

The discussion should interpret the findings, compare them with relevant previous studies, explain their theoretical and practical implications, acknowledge the limitations of the study, and highlight the contribution of the findings to the development of physiotherapy and/or nursing science and practice.

Conclusion

The conclusion should directly address the research objectives and summarize the main findings concisely. Practical recommendations and suggestions for future research may be included where appropriate.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
