Screening for Plagiarism Policy

TheraNur: Physiotherapy and Nursing Journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. Every manuscript submitted to the journal is screened for plagiarism before entering the peer review process.

The journal uses reliable plagiarism detection software, such as Turnitin, iThenticate, or other equivalent similarity-checking tools, to evaluate the originality of submitted manuscripts.

The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%, excluding references, properly quoted text, and standard methodological expressions. Similarity from a single source should not exceed 5%.

Manuscripts identified as containing plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, or other forms of academic misconduct may be rejected immediately or returned to the authors for revision, depending on the severity of the issue.

Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and for properly citing all sources using APA 7th Edition. Failure to comply with the journal’s ethical standards may result in manuscript rejection, withdrawal of published articles, or other appropriate editorial actions in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics policy.

Plagiarism screening is conducted as part of the journal’s quality assurance process to ensure that all published articles meet internationally recognized standards of scientific integrity and ethical publishing.
