Publication Ethics

TheraNur: Physiotherapy and Nursing Journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. This policy applies to all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

The journal adheres to internationally recognized ethical principles in scholarly publishing to ensure that all published articles are original, transparent, accountable, scientifically reliable, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in physiotherapy and nursing.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original, have not been previously published, and are not under consideration by another journal or publisher.

Authors are responsible for presenting research findings honestly, accurately, and transparently. Data fabrication, data falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, and any form of research misconduct are strictly prohibited.

Authors must properly acknowledge and cite all sources using APA 7th Edition and are encouraged to manage references using Mendeley or other reliable reference management software.

All listed authors must have made substantial academic contributions to the research and must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission.

Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, sources of research funding, financial support, or institutional affiliations that may influence the research outcomes.

For studies involving human participants, patients, medical records, clinical data, or other health-related information, authors must comply with applicable research ethics standards, including obtaining informed consent, protecting participant confidentiality and privacy, and securing ethical approval from the appropriate ethics committee when required.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for evaluating submitted manuscripts objectively based on their scientific quality, originality, relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and contribution to the fields of physiotherapy and nursing.

Editors must ensure that every manuscript is handled fairly, transparently, confidentially, and professionally throughout the editorial process.

Editorial decisions must not be influenced by the authors' gender, race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, institutional affiliation, political beliefs, or other personal characteristics unrelated to the scientific merit of the manuscript.

Editors must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and must not use unpublished information for personal or institutional advantage.

Editors are required to avoid conflicts of interest. If a conflict exists, responsibility for handling the manuscript must be delegated to another qualified editor.

The final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript rests with the Editor-in-Chief, based on editorial evaluation, reviewers’ recommendations, and compliance with the journal's editorial policies.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, confidential, and timely evaluations of manuscripts assigned to them.

Reviews should assess scientific originality, methodological quality, validity of the results, clarity of presentation, quality of discussion, relevance to physiotherapy and nursing, and adherence to ethical standards.

Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not share, reproduce, cite, or use unpublished materials without prior authorization from the journal.

Reviewers must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest. If a conflict exists regarding the authors, institutions, funding sources, or research topic, reviewers should decline the invitation to review.

Reviewer comments should be professional, respectful, and constructive, with the primary objective of improving the scientific quality of the manuscript.

Responsibilities of the Publisher

STIKes RS Dustira, as the publisher of TheraNur: Physiotherapy and Nursing Journal, is committed to supporting editorial independence, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the journal, and providing a reliable and transparent journal management system.

The publisher does not interfere with editorial decisions and does not influence manuscript acceptance or rejection based on financial, institutional, personal, or other non-academic interests.

The publisher actively supports the implementation of publication ethics, the integrity of the peer-review process, plagiarism prevention, open access publishing, and transparent journal governance in accordance with internationally accepted publishing standards.
